UWO Inc. is founded in 2015 in the Great Los Angeles Area. UWO’s business model is like Uber, giving locals who have free time and the advantage of familiar local destinations an opportunity to help travelers experience their new destination.

 

We are currently seeking developer interns. You will be working with an experienced developer of 14 years who will help you grow. We're also seeking a UI/UX designer, who will be working with our designer of 15 years, that had experience working for the UN for several years.

 

 

1. Front-End Developer

Requirements:

• • Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college/university major in Computer Science, InformationTechnology or related fields
  • Ability to research and understand business logic and/or work flow diagrams and implement code as necessary
  • Experience using Node (4 or 5)
  • Experience using JQuery, AJAX, Bootstrap, andJavascript libraries
  • Knowledge of the MEAN stack - Mongo DB,ExpressJS, AngularJS, and Node.js
  • Ability to debug code and fix issues efficiently and with minimal support
  • Proficiency using Webstorm and Cloud9 IDE
  • Proficiency using Ionic framework fordeveloping Mobile application.
  • Multilingual (Mandarin/English)

 

2. Back-End Developer

Requirements:

• • Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college/university major in Computer Science, InformationTechnology or related fields
  • Ability to research and understand businesslogic and/or workflow diagrams and implement code as necessary
  • Experience using Node (4 or 5)
  • Experience using services and Web APIS using SOAP, REST
  • Working knowledge of XML, XSLT
  • Working knowledge of MongoDB
  • Working knowledge of payment APIs, Google MapAPIs, SMS verification APIs, and willingness to learn about them
  • Ability to debug code and fix issues efficiently and with minimal support
  • Proficiency using Webstorm and Cloud9 IDE
  • Proficiency using Ionic framework fordeveloping Mobile application
  • Multilingual (Mandarin/English)

 

 

3. UI/UX Designer

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year college/university major in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields

• Detailed understanding of the grid system,composition and color, with specific attention to typo graphy, and other details
• Ability to work with the design and development team to understand technology requirements and capabilities as they relate to the user interface
• Passion for current design trends and technologies and a desire to communicate this knowledge across the team
• Strong Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesignskills, an eagerness to learn new tools
• Candidate must flourish in a fast-paced,deadline driven environment
• Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills which are critical to success among the company of talented individuals
• Candidate must be self-driven and work in dependently
• Ability to discuss with clients andthird-parties
• Multilingual (Mandarin/English)
