1. Product/Application Engineer (part time or full time position)

Job Code: LEAP-MIC-01

At Microduino, we’re on a mission to lower the barrier of entry into electronics so tinkerers and DIY-ers of all ages can learn to code, build and create without complicated software or expert techniques.

 

The Product/Application Engineer is responsible for the creation of new items relevant to Microduino. This position combines inventing new products with engineering skills and plenty of creativity.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Create and design Arduino projects for consumer use

  • Create educational programming based on a STEAM education discipline

  • Create step-by-step instructions on how to complete each project with a consumer-focused approach

  • Technical support – work with sales team to demo projects and be available for troubleshooting with consumers

  • Support team design reviews with Test Engineers, Design Engineers and Designers when needed

  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned

 

Who You Are:

  • 2-5 years of experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

  • Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Draft straightforward and thorough business requirements and functional specifications

  • Create design comps based on customer needs

  • Provide strong communication skills with the ability to act as a liaison (and create consensus)

  • Demonstrated ability to balance many different work requests, in different stages of design/manufacture, and provide appropriate feedback to the team

  • Strong written and communication skills

2. Sales/Marketing

Job Code: LEAP-MIC-02

 

The Sales/Marketing position is responsible for all aspects of the sales process – from initiating conversations with buyers to working with the internal team through fulfillment.

 

This position will develop new business opportunities. Your success will be dependent on your ability to prospect, qualify potential accounts and build relationships with key decision makers.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Identify and qualify new opportunities for their potential

  • Prospect new distributors, retailers and sales channels through cold calling, networking, attending trade shows, etc.

  • Develop and foster client relations to achieve goals

  • Develop sales by making presentations; explaining benefits

  • Prepare proposals and presentations

  • Monitor build plan and inventory levels of raw materials and Finished Goods at CMs and stocking locations against backlog and forecast

  • Prepare and present MRP, inventory and supply reports to management

  • Track and manage supplier delivery schedules and resolve supply issues

  • Prioritize supply requirements, adjust for ECOs and schedule changes

  • Assist in identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies

  • Prepare and issue POs to suppliers for approved build plans or purchases

  • Follow up, track and expedite goods and services purchases to meet production schedule

 

Who You Are:

  • Proven sales experience

  • 2-5 years of experience in related field

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

  • Knowledge of quality systems and processes

  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales quotas

  • Experience selling to large and medium size accounts

  • Results driven with a passion to succeed and resourceful by nature

3. Social Media Manager (Internship; part time position)

Job Code: LEAP-MIC-03

 

The Social Media Manager position is responsible for the promotion and digital marketing efforts for Microduino. Focused on building brand engagement, excitement about the brand and acting as a liaison between consumers and the brand, the Social Media Manager is an integral member of the Microduino team.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage multiple social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram

  • Assist with brainstorming and development of social media marketing campaigns

  • Research trending topics and relevant current events

  • Management social advertising budgets

  • Respond to fan feedback and maintaining engagement across all media channels

  • Assisting with basic administrative duties (i.e. emails, filing, media tracking, etc.)

 

Who You Are:

  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms

  • Recent college graduate or student

  • Demonstrate ability to initiate and complete multiple tasks on time

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Experience with social media analytics preferred (but not required)

  • Knowledge of basic graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite

4. Customer Support Operations (part time position)

Job Code: LEAP-MIC-04

 

The Customer Support Operations is responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and companies. This position assists with complaints, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancelations and other queries.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Attract potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services

  • Open customer accounts by recording account information

  • Maintain customer records by updating account information

  • Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution

  • Maintain financial accounts by processing customer adjustments

  • Recommend potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs

  • Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information

  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed


Who You Are:

  • High school diploma, general education degree or equivalent

  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications

  • Knowledge of administrative procedures

  • Self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic

  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
