Attorney Daqin (Deacon) Zhang is an experienced U.S. immigration attorney who is a licensed member of the New York State Bar, Utah State Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the United States Supreme Court Bar. Once an immigrant himself, Attorney Zhang is intimately familiar with the immigration challenges that frequently confront foreigners and the journey of pursing the American dream. His own personal and professional success story testifies to the numerous opportunities available to immigrants in the United States. Since immigrating to the United States, Attorney Zhang has dedicated his life to helping people and their families around the world realize their own immigration aspirations.

Attorney Zhang earned his Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.) from Brigham Young University in 2004 and received his Bachelor of Arts Degree (B.A.) from China Foreign Affairs College in 1997. Prior to starting his own law practice, Attorney Zhang practiced at Zhang & Associates, P.C. for almost 8 years, where he was a shareholder and the managing attorney for the firm’s branch offices in Los Angeles. Before that, Attorney Zhang practiced with Kirton & McConkie, a full-service law firm in Salt Lake City that handles a substantial number of international financing and cross-border investments.  While in law school, Attorney Zhang also clerked with the Legal Department of General Motors, as well as at the Hong Kong offices of Dibb Lupton Alsop, which is a leading global law firm. Prior to coming to the U.S., Attorney Zhang worked for four years in Guangzhou and Hong Kong, where he specialized in setting up foreign invested enterprises, enforcing intellectual property rights, and negotiating franchising and licensing agreements.

Attorney Zhang has practiced in a wide range of immigration and business law matters. He is fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
