Full-time or part-time Application Engineer in Bio Photonics and/or Optical Communication markets in US. BS, MS or Ph. D.

 

Job Description:

The application engineer will work in marketing & sales department. He/she will apply his/her knowledge of bioengineering and/or optical communication principles and practices to work with the marketing & sales team to promote the product sales to our customers globally, particularly in US market.  The Application Engineer will work with the marketing & sales team, and other cross-functional teams, in creating design specifications based on customer requirements.  The application engineer is expected to support the engineering, manufacturing, sales & marketing departments.  The ideal candidate will have an understanding of biophotonics and/or optical communications, possess excellent communication skills, and bring an enthusiasm for the biomedical and/or optical communication device industry and applications.

The candidate is able to learn quickly himself/herself while working with internal engineering, sales/marketing team, and external customers. Work out a solution for our customers with passion. Travel will be required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work on the field of Optical Coating applications in BioPhotonics and Optical Communications.

• Work with US marketing & sales team to promote our products sales globally, particularly in North America market.

• Communicate with our manufacture in China and customers in North America.

• Collect the market and technology information to give guidance for the internal R&D development.

• Have an open mind to be able to break into the new market.

Our product application in BioPhotonics involves development and application of optical techniques, particularly fluorescent imaging, to the study of biological molecules, cells and tissue.

Our product application in Optical Communications involves WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing) filters and devices to enhance the performance of optical networks.
